Lee Bredeson was awarded the 2006 Outstanding Architectural Design by Sea Pines Architectural Review Board. Project: Renovation of a Sea Pines Residence plus adding a Courtyard and Garage with Bonus Room. "This award means a great deal to me because I did not enter a competition. It is awarded for merit from all projects for the year. My philosphy is that every project is important. The same amount of attention is given to a room addition as to a multi-million dollar new residence," commented Lee.

Lee studied the first 2 years of an undergraduate architecture program at Georgia Tech until 1975. After his military service he worked with Doug Corken Architects in 1980-81. Then as in house designer with large volume builder Tall Pines Construction on Hilton Head in '81-82. At John Cowart Homes in Atlanta in '83-84 he was the company designer. Lee returned to the low country to work at Ainsworth Design in Savannah while earning a Graphic Design degree which he attained in 1987 at S.C.A.D. In 1991 Lee established Magnolia Classic Home Designers. Although the staff grew to 6 people, Lee prefers a small office specializing in single family residences. During the spring and summer of 2005, Lee enrolled in the Institute of Classical Architecture traveling to and studying the distinctive styles present in St. Augustine, Coral Gables, New Orleans (2 months before Katrina hit) and Seaside, FL. The emphasis was the methods of researching any period style of architecure and applying precedents to new residences.
